People say if you are in Australia, Canberra is one place that you should not miss out to visit, especially the floriade, which happens in spring season (mid September). But, if you happen to be there in a different season, what is there to see, which is exciting – Parliament house, National art gallery and 360 degree city view – Telstra tower. People who are interested in arts, then they may love to see the art gallery.
To me, there is one thing that made my trip more exciting and fascinating is – “Cockington Gardens”.
You can go here any season. One has to go around the world, visit many countries to see these actual various monuments, no doubt, this place is like a trailer of a movie – “Around the world in 80 minutes”. What amazed me the most is – the creation of miniatures of different monuments of the world.
I saw many miniatures, which looked so natural and real, that for a moment, it was taking me to all these real places in the world.
I come from India and I was excited to see – Red Fort (Lal Qila in India) as one of the miniature (surprised not to see Taj Mahal – being one of the 7 wonders of the world). Nevertheless, this place is wonderful to visit and much appreciation to be given to those people who have created these miniatures.
Also, don’t miss the lovely little train ride that takes you around the garden. This gave me the feeling, I am going – “Around the world”.
